On Saturday, June 9th at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, the legendary gospel quartet The Fairfield Four performed an hour long show as part of the Gospel Roots of Rock and Soul live concert series.
The Fairfield Four have existed for over 90 years, starting as a trio in the Fairfield Baptist Church, Nashville, Tennessee, in 1921. While they are best known from their appearance on the soundtrack and on screen, in O Brother Where Art Thou, the Grammy Award-winning quartet continue to revitalize and preserve spiritual & gospel singing.
